As you can see in the pictures, it looks nib new in box. I'll try to answer t. The drive can setup its own network. You do not actually need internet at your house for this to work just need to have Wireless on and active on your computer.

Disappointing that is not made anymore by the manufacturer. I bought this extra one recently from as new other.
