Literally, all I ended up doing with this hard-drive, was I reflected windows 7 onto it and then, after testing it for about an hour or two, I used parted's ssd-safe wipe to remove it again. I bought this drive for my laptop several months ago but then decided to go with a larger and less-expensive hard-drive instead.
